Inflatable Structure

Choose An Inflatable Structure To Give Your Event a Real Lift

Mention the words inflatable structure and many people immediately picture a bouncy castle or the dancing tubes seen at festivals. However, the term also covers a wide range of cutting-edge structures which are fast becoming the number one choice for anyone organising a party or corporate event.

Why Go Inflatable?

There are many reasons why people choose an inflatable structure rather than a traditional marquee. Ashley Austin, director at Cambridgeshire-based company Evolution Dome, has seen business booming of late, thanks to the ever-growing popularity of this type of temporary building.

He says: "When choosing the right structure to accommodate their guests, people are looking for several key factors – cost, reliability, looks and quick turnaround. An inflatable structure ticks all these boxes –quick installation and dismantling means less cost to customers, while the stunning designs in our range ensure a stylish showcase for any event. And, because an inflatable structure is supported by air, there are no poles or beams to worry about, meaning customers have complete flexibility."

Evolution Dome has an inflatable structure for any occasion, ranging from simple designs such as the Cube –which is available in sizes of 6, 8 or 15 metres - through to the huge Trident Dome, which provides an immense 365 sq metres of floor space and can comfortably accommodate 400 visitors for a trade fair or product launch. Alternatively, this inflatable structure can incorporate a stage and theatre-style seating for up to 450 visitors.

Versatility And Reliability

Due to its construction, an inflatable structure can be configured for just about any purpose. For example, the various components of the Turtle GTS system supplied by Evolution Dome can be used on their own or joined with others to create a covered area spanning more than 600 sq metres.

The materials used to construct an inflatable structure - usually PVC-coated nylons and polyesters - are able to withstand all kinds of adverse weather conditions and are guaranteed to keep guests comfortable and sheltered form the elements.

This versatility led to the BBC choosing an inflatable structure from Evolution Dome for its recent Bang Goes The Theory roadshow in Edinburgh.

Ashley explains: "The BBC's production team wanted a completely modular system that looked stunning and was easy to install and de-rig. We were able to rise to the occasion and supply them with an inflatable structure that did just that! The event was a huge success which attracted more than 10,000 visitors and created a great focal point in the city."

An Eco-friendly Solution

Not only is an inflatable structure an ideal choice for any occasion, it's also an eco-friendly one. New materials such as 'green' plastics are constantly being developed, so that anyone choosing an inflatable structure can rest assured their carbon footprint is kept to a minimum.

With all these clear advantages, it's no wonder so many people choose an inflatable structure to give their event a real lift.
